Emergency Lodging

Overview

If your vehicle breakes down and you are stranded more than 100 miles away  from home, this benefit will ensure you are safe.  We will reimburse you up to $100/day for room and food - for up to $500/yr.

• Reimbursement of expenses incurred for overnight lodging expenses if a Member’s automobile breaks down more than 100 miles from his/her primary residence and cannot be driven for more than 24 hours.
• Expenses reimbursed up to $100 per day, $500 per year.
• Reimbursed expenses include costs for hotel room and food.

Description

If a Member’s automobile breaks down more than 100 miles from his/her primary residence and cannot be driven for more than 24 hours,  Emergency Lodging reimburses the member for lodging expenses up to $100 per night, for up to five (5) nights, for a maximum of $500 per year, 

Reimbursed expenses include costs for hotel room and food.

Conditions:

• Coverage only involves Member’s primary automobile.
• Coverage only applies to overnight lodging where the member has to pay for a room. (e.g., hotel, motel, bed & breakfast, YMCA, etc.) and has documentation showing date(s) stayed and amount paid.

How To File a Claim

 How to file a claim:

Member should call 1-800-711-4280 within thirty (30) days of the date that automobile was disabled. A claim form will be mailed to the Member. The Member must complete the claim form and return it to the administrator with the following required documentation: 

• Copy of towing bill.
• Copy of receipt showing what repairs were made to automobile.  No claim will be paid without written documentation.
• Receipt for all expenses to be reimbursed (hotel/motel, food)
