Auto Lock Out

Overview

Have you ever locked your keys in your car?  You don't have Onstar?  If you have to pay a locksmith to get your keys out of your locked car, this benefit will help you recover up to $200 on a single claim during a 12-month period.  This benefit is good for you or an immediate family member / dependent. 

  • Coverage is provided which will reimburse You, or an Eligible Family Member for the expense of a locksmith if You, or an Eligible Family Member, are inadvertently locked out from Your Primary automobile during the Coverage Period. 
  • Lockout Reimbursement is subject to a limit of $200 per lockout and is limited to one (1) claim within any consecutive twelve-(12) month, single membership period.

Description

Coverage is provided which will reimburse You, or an Eligible Family Member for the expense of a locksmith if You, or an Eligible Family Member, are inadvertently locked out from Your Primary automobile during the Coverage Period.

Membership Effective Date means the date You enroll as a member in the program, or upon receipt of payment of membership dues as per the membership terms and conditions of the program, whichever occurs last.

Coverage Period means the period of time starting thirty (30) days from the Membership Effective Date..  Coverage will continue for the term indicated on the enrollment form, or cover/welcome letter, or until You cancel Your membership in the program  as long as You are a member in good standing as defined by the membership terms and conditions.

Primary Automobile – means an Automobile that is driven for at least nine (9) months out of the year, and which has valid insurance coverage.

How To File a Claim

How to file a claim:

You or an Eligible Family Member should contact the Administrator by phone at 1-800-711-4280 within thirty (30) days of the date that the Loss occurred.  Failure to give notice within 30 days of the incident may result in a denial of the claim.
The Administrator will send a claim form, which should be completed and mailed back to the Administrator, along with a copy of the following:

1.   A copy of your Automobile insurance, showing the make and model of your Primary automobile.
2.   The locksmith’s bill; showing make and model of car.
3.   Proof that the locksmith’s bill was paid.

All these required items, including the claim form, must be postmarked within sixty (60), days of the date of the Loss, or the claim may be denied.

NOTE: This insurance is excess insurance, and it applies in the excess of other collectable insurance up to the amount of insurance, subject to the terms and conditions of this Evidence of Coverage.
